LoginModuleSetException
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
Every time the user click your application's logout button, pop up an exception informing that the External Device is not configured.
It happens in the model MP 501 (12x), in the others it works fine. Is there any other configuration that we must perform in this device, or another firmware to install that may solve this problem?

Question
Hello Gerardo,
We are trying to prepare all relevant stuff for a certification of our UniPrint application (no smart card support for the moment). I have some questions.
1. What does it mean ‘Automated Installer must be included for all products sold by Ricoh', using Web Image Monitor as a loading tool is not enough?
2. Could you please confirm that we need to mail 2 USB flash drives with our VMware images to 2 different locations?
3. According to evaluation report, the appropriate document sdkj_xlet_aplevset_eR111.pdf has a part
‘Common evaluation items’, there are 3 columns ‘Target SDK/J versions’:
a) Ver1 to 7
b) Ver10
c) Ver11
Which target we are since we are not targeting any specific printer features?
4. In the document’s ‘Common’ section mentioned above 1-11 section, what is it and should we support it?
5. Following the evaluation report document
We are interested only in Compatibility Test – Java, so it’s clear we need to fill out the ‘Common evaluation items’ from evaluation report document, should we still to print and write ‘DISABLED’ on every other evaluation?
Thanks,
Mark
SDK/J support on MP 501 models

Question
Hi,
I know that first generation Android MFPs support running legacy SDK/J solutions ("Compatibility Mode").
Is this still true for 2nd Generation MFPs like the MP 501?

Question
Need help in tracking down why these happen or if they are even related to our applications (A External Authentication App).
Two MFD's on a client site are generating these errors reasonably often, up to a couple of times a day for one copier.

Question
Hi,
I noticed that on the MFP's home screen, Extended Features apps buttons have their title cut off in the middle of a word if it's too long. Is there a way to force it to word-wrap like it does for other apps like 'Document Server'?
I tried inserting a line feed in the title in the .dalp file (like or ) but it didn't work.
See attached screen shot.

Compatibility testing

Question
Hello,
I'm submitting PCS Director Embedded 6.3.9a for compatibility testing with CAC.
The virtual machines that are required for PCSD should still be with Ptec from the previous submission (nothing has changed since that submission)
Since our ability to test AAA is limited, we don't put it in our official documentation, but the basics are this, based on our understanding of CAC and AAA:
1: Put the following argument in the dalp file prior to installation:
<argument>USE_AAA=LOCAL</argument>
2: Set the authentication type to PIN (as described in the installation guide under section Configuring the Ricoh MFP in PCS Director)
3: The identifier used to authenticate the user has to also be set in the PIN field for the user in PCS Director administrator.
Thanks,
Nathan
