SDK/J application icon
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
I am testing our SDK/J applications on our MP C306Z. This is the first time testing them after updating the firmware from TM to production. When I deploy the two applications (one Xlet and one Servlet), they deploy just fine and the xlet is in the "Starting Up" state. However, I am unable to get the icon for the "Ricoh Agent" xlet to display on the screen. I also don't see it anywhere in the "all apps" menu.
I know we had this working before we upgraded the firmware. Just wondering if there is some setting or something I am missing to get the icon to show up.
I also installed the HelloXlet sample and it doesn't show up on the panel either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan
Ant build with third party jars
Incident Properties
Question
Support
I need to deploy some third party jar files to the mfp for use with our xlets. The project references these jar files, builds perfectly in eclipse and deploys to the mfp without a problem but when I call the libs on the mfp, I get a NoClassDef exception and this is due to the third party jar files not being present on the mfp.
Any assistance on overcomming this is greatly appreciated.
Best regards
Nick

Hi Gerardo
A belated Happy New Yaer!
I am ready to go through the implementation of the AAA libs. You said to contact you when I was about 70% complete on the projects.
Please let me know when you will be available to look at this with me.

Application Icon not visible
Incident Properties
Question
We have a customer that is not able to see the icon on their Ricoh MP C6004. The application installs and is running, it is recieving startup and suspend notification from the printer but the icon cannot be found. I don't know what the SMC Report is or how to get it. I am happy to get it if you can tell me how to do that.
Thanks,
Casey
Functional Problem error on reboot when function priority set to SDK/J application
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
I have tried installing a SDK/J application on our MP C306z and set the function priority to this application. When the panel goes to sleep and wakes again, it starts and brings the specified SDK/J application to the foreground. However on reboot, it will display a "Loading...Please Wait" message for approximately 5 minutes, then it will display a functional problem screen. I have tried this with both the sample Scan2PDF SDK/J application and PaperCut's production/development signed SDK/J applications, all result in the same behaviour. I have attached the logs that were collecting from prior to the reboot up until the functional problem screen. In these logs it mentions "SC Occur code:998-0". Screenshots are also attached. If any other logs are required please let me know.
Is it possible to set the function priority to an SDK/J application on a SOP G2 panel? Are there any other steps required to setup the function priority correctly?

Daniel
Could not generate DH keypair
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
With more of our workstations and servers being upgraded to Windows 10 and Server 2016, I am running into an issue with our Ricoh Java Agent. Our agent can be configured to talk to a server piece using HTTPS. If the server piece is running on Windows 10 or Server 2016, I am receiving the following error:
javax.net.ssl.SSLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not generate DH keypair
.
.
.
Caused by: java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: Prime size must be multiple of 64, and can only range from 512 to 1024 (inclusive)
This is at least happening on our MP 2550 and our MP 2554.
Doing some Google searches of this issue, I am seeing that Java has a bug and isn't performing the SSL handshake properly with a Server generating a 2048 prime size for the DH keypair. Everything I have read so far suggests upgrading the Java Runtime to 1.8 solves the issue, but for some older Ricoh MFDs, this doesn't seem like an option.
It seems like changing how the server does the cipher algorithm order could solve the issue, but I don't know if that is the right answer to give a customer.
Here is a good explanation of what is going on:
I am also attaching the full stack trace from the error if that may help.
I guess the questions I have are, have you encountered this issue yet? Do you have a recommended way of solving this issue? Is there any way to upgrade the java runtime version on the device?
Thanks,
Bryan

Counters for each Users id
Incident Properties
Question
Hi Gerardo,
How are you? I was wondering if there is a way to obtain counters for each internal user of the printer without the need to implement the external log in.
