We are trying to test our AAA Provider Service and Gerardo sent me the AAAClientSampleXlet-1.1.1production2014-3-14.zip

It installs ok but we receive an exception on start.  It seems to have either jars missing or some resolving issues but I haven't looked into it any further as this is your production build and wondered what the problem is with the package.

I have attached the 125 logs we get on start.  We have tried this on two devices.  11X and 12X platforms.

I can send you the client bundle if you need it but I got it from Gerardo anyway so I guess you can grab it.

Why is this issue closed?

Anyways, i went through the webpage you suggested to go through the list of reasons for the icon  invisibility.  We have set "AutoStart" to true to start the application as soon as it is installed. I didn't see any reason why the icon is not visible.

Per the customer, they are saying that they did see the Accuroute button but it is not displayed anymore though they see the OmtoolXlet installed and started under Extended Feature Settings. In fact, we got this update from a Ricoh tech guy at the client site.

All the logs can be found in the original incident -1675.  Please let me know if you need more information.

Due to the issues we are encountering, I have split the project and will now aim to use a servlet to handle both our Http login requests and for the AAA Provider Service.  I will then use the commanager service for xlet to servlet bi-directional comms.

I have again found an issue with the build of the servlet that hopefully you can point me at where the problem lies.

The servlet builds  and installs ok and I have added the extenal jars to the dalp in the same way they were in the previous bundle but I am again seeing the osgi framework errors when the servlet starts.

I have only implemented the http server from the activator but I cannot get it to start.  I can send the 125 logs but to be honest if you install the zip within the dist folder you will see the issues on servlet start.

This is a new feature release that includes the following new functionalities along with some bug fixes and performance improvements.

Changes Include:
 

·        Qucik Pick Implementation.

·        Functionality to login with Network Login.

·        Functionality to login with Initials.

·        Fixed a bug with card enrollment. (Application crashes when the card is swiped more than once when prompted for enrolment username/password). 

When I implemented the authentication for my SDK/J app I was told to use the externalPrincipal in Ver_R2_17/english/sdkj_custom_auth_eR112.pdf.  We want to be able to use scan to email and have it populate the email address given but I cannot see a way to set an email on an externalPrincipal.  

Is there a way to send the user's email address to the scan functionality?

I have a couple of small changes in the next release of our SDK/J solution that should only require a maintenance signature.  I am fixing a small bug with our print-all functionality as well as fixing an issue with passing the printer hostname to our server when I shouldn't be.

There are no changes to the SDK/J levels we support.  We still support SDK/J 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12.  We also still support SVGA COLOR, WVGA COLOR and HVGA COLOR devices.

In the Compatibility - QA Testing Program document, it lists several specifications around the virtual machine, but it does not mention if a specific operating system is required or preferred. Previously we have always submitted a Windows VM. We have prepared an Ubuntu VM for submission for our next certification, along with a guide on how to boot into the OS, and prepare it for testing including how to setup the printer queue to point to a printer on your network. Will an Ubuntu VM be OK for the testers to work with for compatibility testing?

Since the recent build updates to our ROILogin Xlet, we now receive an error during the xlet start if a card reader is attached.

I am unsure of the cause of this and wondered if it could be a problem with the card.reader.properties file not being referenced in the bundle or if there may be some other reason for this.

I have tested placing the card.reader.properties in all of the following locations:

/resources

/lib

and in the zip and it is refered to in the dalp file as follows:

  <jar href="./card.reader.properties" version="1.0.0" basepath="current" main="false"/>

But none of the above has fixed the issue.  Nothing has changed in the code for handling the readers, so I have assumed it is the file not being available.

I have attached the cygwin output we see during the xlet start.
