Trying to access copy function from own application
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
We are trying to access the copy function by clicking in a button inside our own application. Is if is there any way we can do something like this in lower SDK/J?
Maybe something similar to what we have in 10x or later devices, using the option Screen Switching[SDK/J Version 10 or Later] to access the printer’s functions, like Copy and Scan.
Thank you,
Best,
Guilherme Júlio
AAA and Right Fax

Question
Hi support,
If we have included the AAA framework in our xlets then will it work with other applications that also have AAA framework?
E.G. Will we work "out of the box" with RightFax for SSO if both parties have the AAA framework incorporated into their respective applications?
Many thanks!

Upgrading Existing ROI server software

Question
Hi Ricoh Team.
We are almost ready to submit our latest versions of the ROI Login Xlets and our new ROI Pull Print xlets with a separate comms sevlet xlet. There will also be a new xlet for 4-7x devices too.
In preparation for our submittal can I schedule abotu 30 mins to upgrade our server software in the existing VM that you have to the latest server software please. As i mentioned this will only take around 20-30 mins but is neccessary for our new version of the Ricoh software to work.
Let me know if this is possible please and a few dates and times when we can do it.
Many thanks,

Question
Hi Support
Maybe I have something wrong or it isn't possible with the 4.30 sdk but I keep receiving the following exception when a user is logged out on the timer and I attempt to swich the screen back to the login xlet:
4X-7X Authentication Xlet
Incident Properties
Question
Hi Support
I have a few questions regarding 4X-7X Authentication. Please let me know if you want them posting separately.
1. Am I correct in assuming there is no way of receiving button events from either the touch screen and the hard key panel.?
The Operation Panel doesn't seem to be available when I target the 4.30 sdk.
2. If there is no way of receiving these events how can session timing be tracked. With our previous xlet we used a timer that was reset on button events that indicated the user was still active at the device. We also used this timer on document events to ensure that large document runs could complete during a users session at the device.
3. Using a timer with our previous xlet forced the screen to be switched back to the Login screen once a user session had timed out or they had hit the logout button on the hard key panel. How is this generally handled within a 4X environment?
4. Is it still possible with the 4X-7X devices to lock the device panel in the same way it is locked with the 10X + devices or do we not lock the panel and just get the KeyCode messages if a user tries to use functions on the mfp when logged out?
Best regards
Nick

Operation on Fiery devices
Incident Properties
Question
Is there any kind of limitation for the SDK/J applications on Fiery devices? Can they run both xlet and servlet?
I'm trying to start my app on a Pro C5100 but I get error J522. Also I've tryed to get the MFP log through rsh to obtain more information about the exception but for some reason I can't access the device this way, I get timeout error. Is this a thing on Fiery devices? Is there any other way to view the log?
Thank you in advance.
