We have made a couple of changes to 1.5.7 resulting in 1.5.8. Changes are:

• Bug:
  • Fixed a condition where a user could get locked on an MFP when they shouldn't. Root cause was an error handler during logon that didn't recognize a particular error as an authentication error. 
  • This was initially tested in the version 1.5.7.1 that we had a demo signature generated a month or so ago.
• Bug:
  • Fixed an issue that allowed a user to attempt to logon with a blank username.
  • This was a follow-on finding from the 1.5.7.1 testing. This was verified in 1.5.7.2 that we had a demo signature generated a few weeks ago.
• New:
  • Logout from a GSNX project is now optionally tied to Pharos logout.
  • Default behavior is to logout. This maintains backward compatibility with previous releases.
  • To change the behavior modify the “Logout from Pharos when Logging out of a GSNX Project” control in GSNX context in the terminal in Uniprint or Blueprint from "yes" to "no".
  • After changing the terminal in Uniprint or Blueprint, pressing the Logout button in GSNX will not log the user out of Pharos.

Please let me know if this request will be deferred until after the conference. No worries if it is, just want to set customer expectations.

Hi,

We are able to install and start the Kofax unisnged client (KofaxUnsigned.zip) on our Ricoh MP 2001. We requested the Kofax demo signed client from your site (KofaxDemo.zip), we are able to install it to our Ricoh MP 2001, but cannot start the client using WIM. When starting it, we see the error J522.

Please help to check and let us know how to resolve the issue.

Periodically the user gets an error when trying to start up our applicaiton.

The following extended feature was stopped due to insufficient memory.

Extended Feature Name:  PrinterLogic

RightFax is also installed on this printer.

Hi,

This is related to ticket 2593.

Currently, our customer met the issue where the Login method from com.ricoh.auth.LoginListener is not triggered in for single sign on. We are still using aaa-client-1.1.0.jar lib.

I atatched Rlog files from the customer here.

Please let us know why the login method is not triggered.

The KofaxRicoh SDK/J Application with dev key can deploy and start up as well on our lab.

But since I requested a SDK/J demo signature app to run demo on other SOP machine, when starting the app after deployed, it gets error J501 "Extended feature startup failed. Unexpected error(s) has occurred."

It happens on devices 401SP and C2004 with both 2 version of the KofaxRicoh SDK/J Application and its demo signature.

Can SDK/J demo signature application run as well on G2 SOP devices?

How do I run demo versions on customer machine?

Hi,

The ticket (Incident ID#: 2645) was submitted a long time ago. As you mentioned in the ticket, there is no security issue with those libs because they are used by Ricoh internally.

However, our Product Managers now would like to know if Ricoh has had any plan to update those libs in the future?

Customer reported they are experiencing user locked on devices after the update to 1.5.7.1. The logging added to 1.5.7.1 helped us narrow the focus further. I still don't know root cause so I added more logging and a guard around the line of code that is causing the null pointer reference. The goal is to use this to further narrow the focus and with the guard in place mitigate the problem until we can determine actual root cause.

We have a customer who is scanning color images with the Kofax application and complaining about image quality.  After reviewing their images, they appear to be compressed with fairly low JPEG compression quality. 

Is there a way to control the JPEG compression quality when scanning color images with the SDK/J?

I have a hosts file entry for signatureservices.ricohsv.com but it seems to be unreachable. Did the IP change?

My existing settings are:

172.30.10.150 signatureservices.ricohsv.com # Ricoh signature services

I've also tried to comment this entry out, in which case my local resolver cannot resolve this name,
