Device - MFP or LP

What is the max size and format for the SD card on the SOP?

Tech said maybe it was 2GB maximum, but that is harder to find and is often more than a SDHC 8GB or more found locally.

So, is it capable of SDHC and can it be more than 2GB?

I see that G2 has a mdpi screen. Do you know the exact DPI of the screen?

I just wanted to check quick to make sure the recommended size for launcher icons is not different than standard Android recommendations:

I can't figure out which video describes the process to enable the Installer for Development on a device.

Could you please point me to the correct video or describe the process here?

During our training session with Gerardo, he walked us through how to find the latest firmware for our device.  He showed us in the Web Image Monitor how to locate the current firmware version(s).   He then also showed us what to look for on the tsrc.ricoh-usa.com website.  Could you please answer a couple questions as I did not take good notes apparently.

1. Could you describe what firmware or applications we need to make sure are up to date to work with the latest SmartSDK and where to look again in the WIM of the device?
2. Could you describe the best way to locate the latest firmware on the TSRC site?
3. How do we get a SSO account for the TSRC site?

When we deploy our agents to a particular device, we use SNMP to detect the device's model.  So, if we detect a device's model as Ricoh MP 2554, we key on the "Ricoh" name in the model to know we are able to deploy the Ricoh Agent.  If we detect something else there, we don't allow deployment of the Ricoh Agent.

We are running into an issue in Europe where their model is coming back as "Gestetner MP C4000".  These names in Europe ("Gestetner", "Nashuatec", "NRG", etc.) seem similar to the "Savin" and "Lanier" devices we see here.

My question: Is there a full official list of all model names that can show up so we can key off of those?

We have a demo where a customer has one or more MP C307SP devices.  I was tasked with determining if our SDK/J Agents support this device.  Our agents run on most all versions of SDK/J from 4.X and above.

We don't support the 4 Line LCD or the uWVGA displays.  I am attaching two documents I have been given, both of which list devices, their SDK/J levels, screen type, etc.  I am not seeing the MP C307SP anywhere on the documents.

Is there another or more complete document listing all of the devices?  I know you may not be able to tell me if our agents are necessarily supported or not on the MP C307SP, but if I had all of the specs on the device, it would help a lot.

We've asked this in the past but I thought I would raise it again in light of the new Android platform.

We request the ability to populate the to: and from: field for the native e-mail application on the Ricoh devices based on the e-mail address of the logged in user.  This allows the IT administrator to control either where the e-mail is sent or who it is sent from (not just the copier down the hall).

In the past we have been told that this is not possible on the Java 12.x and lower devices.  I this still the case?

What about for the new Android SOP platform.  Will this be possible with the newer devices?

While going through certification with PTEC, they mentioned something about documenting the "Screen device always-connection Setting."  We don't have that setting on the one device we have (MP C306Z).

My question is, is there an SP mode setting or some other setting on the device to enable/disable this option?

We are having the following issue after installing the application.

One of our clients installed the Ricoh Embedded application on a Ricoh MPC 6004 and immediately upon reboot, they get SC860 (Hard Drive Problem) error on the machine.

Ricoh inspected and concluded that the machine must be faulty and brought over MPC4504 from their showroom and installed the application manually, ERNI (our remote installer) did not work for the installation process and after rebooting the device received SC860 error. Then, the software was uninstalled and reinstalled to the Flash Memory instead of the HDD.The machine worked for few hours then, after 3-4 reboots gave the same SC860 error again.

FYI: Both the devices were tried from the same location.

Could you please let us know if there is some firmware, connectivity or any other configuration changes  that needs to be done.

I have someone asking about the screen type for the SP C840DN/C842DN.  Specifically, the SP C840DN.  I don't see this device listed in the ESA Brand Matrix.  Can someone confirm if this device is a uWVGA device?  It seems like all devices listed with a "DN" suffix are either 4-line LCD or uWVGA, but I am not sure on that.
