Device - MFP or LP

I'd like to request support investigating a "functional problem detected" that comes up when trying to perform a scan using Ricoh MP 306 and MP C406 devices with PCC5.  The devices experiencing the problem initially had Ricoh custom firmware released by Ricoh on March 17, 2017.  Attachment "CustomFirmwareRelease.pdf" describes some details about the custom firmware released to Nuance and customers.

Subsequently, firmware provided by Gerardo in package Nuance_Firmware_Waterloo_Oct13_2017 was installed with package rfg070034.zip for 306/406 devices, after which the problem started occurring.  Logs are included from the C406 and 306 devices from before and after re-applying the firmware Nuance_Firmware_Waterloo_Oct13_2017.zip.  Note that we noticed that some firmware modules, such as the scanner module (Scanner 01.16t2 updating to 01.17 D1965787J), did not install when the package was applied to the device, although the package firmware installation reported success.  The module had to be installed separately to bypass the warnings about the part number change.  But even after manually updating the scanner firmware, the functional problem still occurred.

These devices are now showing a "functional problem detected" when using the scanner.  The devices are also showing SC637-01 when performing native Quick Copy.

Please find attached device logs, firmware screenshots and movies from the 306 and C406 devices experiencing this issue.  The issue is not reproducible on another 406 device where the custom firmware was not deployed.  Please see "Working 406 Device Data.zip".

Please indicate how to proceed to fix the "functional error detected" on our C406 and 306 devices which had the custom firmware installed.

Dude, I need to explain a very specific issue for a Speed client.

The situation is as follows:
The client has a file with three parts: invoice, term of refusal and tickets. It is using a MFP that has staple functionality (MP 3553). So, this customer basically needs:

Print the invoice and, in the back, the refusal term (everything is in the same pdf file). After putting the term on the back, all following pages should be simplex (note that the first two pages are duplex). Besides that, when it is over, everyone should be stapled.

Then, the customer gave us two options:

-> He sends us (for some script of ours) the three separate documents (invoice, term of refusal and tickets) and our script put the documents together or, somehow, printed the three documents and by any identifier, we stapled the three documents at the end the process.

Or

-> He sends us the complete document and we did, somehow, print the first two pages with different specifications of the others.

Today, we have developed a simple WebService that, when invoked, invokes a script that calls the print job of a machine on the network. We do not use sdk. But, I think sdk can help us now or we can increment the script.

Please, let me know: it was possible to understand the situation? Do you have another idea to solve this?

I was just on a product showcase and Ray Najera mentioned that next month a few devices are being released which have a 7" SOP. 

I am assuming it is still the same screen resolution but will have a lower density scaled up to the larger screen size?

If this is not the case, perhaps I am not following the a news channel I should be to keep up to date on coming changes?

I'm curious if each printer has automatic sizing adjustments for Tray 1? Example: I put A4 sheets in my Tray 1 and adjusted the sizing accordingly with the physical adjustments. My Quick Copy app indicated a "working" status with a blinking paper icon, but never updated the page from letter sizing (8.5 X 11) to A4. Should I assume that the printer will not automatically recognize A4 vs. Letter or is there a deeper setting I need to check for turning on/off this automatic adjustment capability?

We was seeing the Ricoh Smart Device Connector product, thinking in connect it with our Axentria suite.

Can Smart Device Connector be connected with some external source or is just an aislated application? for example, to can print an Axentria document using it.
