Uroboros installation failing
Incident Properties
Question
I wasn't sure the categories I should choose for this. I'm trying to install the Uroboros tool on a MP 501 in our lab ("https://ricoh-ridp.com/resources/downloads/uroboros-remote-installer-installer-development-tool").
I get this command line output. I'm not sure what setting(s) I need to look at to fix the problem:
e:\Resources\MFP - Ricoh\RICOH_Uroboros_302>java -jar RICOH_Uroboros.jar install 10.180.153.53 --password admin
destination = 10.180.153.53:51443
Processing error occured.
Please check a target machine network settings.
Site Monitor issue with SNMP v3 / Ricoh
Incident Properties
Question
Pharos has been working with Wells Fargo on an SNMP v3 issue relating to newer Ricoh models (Ricoh Pro C7200/C7210 series(Color Controller E-85A)). Site Monitor running with Blueprint 5.3 Update5 will discover and collect device information via SNMP v1, but when they use SNMP v3, the device is not discovered – hence not returning any data. An SNMP Walk with SNMP v1 was completed with the results showing some huge numbers like (145634525 and 980376013 - amongst others). A patch was created for Site Monitor (Site Monitor patch BP-18735) to resolve issues discovered from the SNMP v1 walk and applied to the Wells Fargo dev environment. Site Monitor is still unable to discover these newer devices configured with SNMP v3, analysis of logs by the Pharos dev team indicated the SNMP v3 password profile combinations indicate the device is responding with some sort of "I don't recognize this" message.
NOTE: All of the Ricoh devices are configured with SNMPv1 disabled and SNMPv3 enabled. Wells Fargo is able to discover the older Ricoh devices which are enabled with SNMPv3. Only these new Ricoh devices are undiscoverable.
1/ Please confirm what changes to SNMPv3 have been made with these new Ricoh devices?
- Provide details of these profile and configuration changes
Proxy Exception Setup Issue - Ref Incident #4534

Question
Update from your direction on contacting tech support.
We contacted tech support, case #93339462 and they told us that the proxy override fields are not working. Could we get a developer resource to connect with us so that we can figure out the issue?

ASSISTANCE WITH ENGINEERING-LEVEL DOCUMENTATION ON IPP IMPLEMENTATION ON RICOH MODELS
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
This is a follow up of the INCIDENT ID#: 4489
It was closed before we could asked additional questions.
I couldnt reopen the ticket and our internal teams have requested we keep the ticket open until the issue has been fully resolved.
Here are the questions we have:
1. The process/location on the device to determine region code on the Ricoh C600 SFP and can this be changed to another region that may support IPP 1.1?
2. How do you determine if the statistics engine is running and what configuration options are available?
Thank You

Not sure if this is the correct place to submit this. Please forgive me if it is not.
The customer is having an issue where the Ricoh IM 4500 printer is failing to reach through the proxy. The problem is that our application requires two specific URLs to be setup in the following manner:
cpp-ui.app.printercloud5.com (access outbound via proxy)
printer-apps-service-client.dhl.local (to route to an internal server behind the proxy. )
The customer is using a PAC file and we see that there are multiple places to define proxy settings. We need to understand where this type of setup can be configured. Is this anything we can get assistance on?
Firmware version "Printer[4.59 / D0BN5581W]","System[4.60.1 / D0BN5551H]","Engine[1.17:04 / D0BQ5503Q]","LCDC[-------- / --------]","NIB[18.86 / D0BL5578W]"
Assistance with engineering-level documentation on IPP implementation on Ricoh models
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
We had initially asked this question to our development contacts at Ricoh :
We are implementing a secure print solution at Wells Fargo utilizing Blueprint Enterprise. To assist in better cross-platform client support, Wells Fargo has standardized on an Internet Print Protocol (IPP) workflow. To that end, there have been challenges with IPP to some single-function printers within the Ricoh line, specifically:
P501,P C600,SP 440D,SP 4150DN
It seems that there is a high degree of variability within the capability of these models to support an IPP stream containing either PDF or URF data, based on features and accessories like AirPrint capability, Adobe vs. emulated PDF support, and even the ability to support an IPP 2.0 (vice IPP 1.1) client. Pharos is requesting Ricoh provide us any available engineering-level documentation on the IPP implementation within these models that we may use to make adjustments in our IPP sender.
This was the response we received:
The best advice for you is to use PDF 1.7 or older to print to our devices with IPP 1.1.
Ricoh printers do not support IPP 2.0.
The self-certification tool, will give you just about everything our printers can, cannot, and should be doing…
https://istopwg.github.io/ippeveselfcert/
RiDP US doesn’t have documentation on IPP implementation.
If Pharos is also a partner of RiDP Japan, please request this level of documentation from RiDP Japan.
If not, you can create a ticket in RiDP US https://ricoh-ridp.com/, we will escalate it to RiDP Japan.
Thanks,
RiDP Admin
Could you please help us get some documentation from RiDP Japan.
Additional information from testing at the customer site on Ricoh P C600:
Advertises PDF support - doesn't work
- Doesn't advertise URF support but if you lie and tell it the job is application/octet-stream it will print it happily
- Conversely if you tell it the job is URF it wont work.
Then almost, but not quite as strangely
- SRH after determining PDF is broke (from model overrides) and URF is no go (printer says so), reverts to JPEG, which works happily.
Thanks

Smart SDK OS Architecture
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
We are using a C++ Library in our app, and need to compile a ".so" file from the library for every operational system architecture that the app runs, and add to the project like this:
So we need to know what Android ABI architecture does Smart SDK Apps run, to compile the .so file for it and append to the project.
if there are more than one architecture please list all of them.

When TLSv1.3 will be supported by MFPs?
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
We are planning to test our Ricoh Unified Client 1.3 with TLSv1.3 enabled on client and server sides.
However, as we know, Ricoh Smart SDK clearly states no support TLSv1.3.
Currently, do you have any plan to support TLSv1.3 to Ricoh devices?
Thank you,

Question
Hello,
I have someone asking me if we support IM 4000 and IM 5000 MFDs. I don't see them on our supported device list and I don't see them listed in the SmartSDK resource CD modinfo.
Based on the fact that our pull print solution supports Smart Operation Panel with SmartSDK version 2.10 and later, do you know if these would be considered supported devices for us?
We do have a lot of IM devices (2500, 3500, 6000, etc) listed, but the two above aren't specifically mentioned.
Regards
Bryan
