I would like the criteria you use to judge an application to be quality so I can make sure and avoid the pitfalls that would cause a problem as I get closer to submitting the application.

Issues while scanning document in color mode (ScanChromaticity.COLOR)
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
Our first application that uses scan features have been submitted to Signature Process. During the tests Erik found two issues related to setting the configuration to Color scanning and Rotate true or Duplex true. In the first case the image isn't rotating and in second case the back side of the paper is being rotate 180º. We tried lots of combinations with no luck to identify what's causing this issue. Here is the method where we create the attributes to scanning:
Are we missing some attribute?

A few questions about debugging and device capability
Incident Properties
Question
Hi support
Could you please point me in the right direction to get the information for the following:
1. Debugging on an actual device. How I can attach the console or best practice to debug on an actual mfp.
2. Deploying settings to an mfp that are required by the xlet/servlet. This will predominantly be the url of the webservice that the xlet/servlet need to communicate with but there may be additional settings.
3. Removal of the above settings when the servlet/xlet is uninstalled from the device.
4. Will the SP4510SF mfp be a sufficient device to build and test the xlet/servlet applications against? I see it is preinstalled with the 11x JRE so I am assuming it is capable of running the embedded applications and it has USB support so hopefully is capable of having a card reader attached for authentication.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Nick
Servlet Xlet Question
Incident Properties
Question
I was told that you could not create a servlet and an Xlet in the same application so I have split them out into 2 application. Now my question is how do I communicate between the 2. I need to:
1. Wake up the device if asleep and wait for my application to load.
2. Send my card information to my device.
If you could point me to the documentation that discuss the communication between the 2 or an example of how it can be done I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Casey
How to obtain an image of a copy for auditing purposes
Incident Properties
Question
Hi, at the conference we had a conversation with Ricoh Japan Engineers regarding how to obtain an image of a copy of a document for auditing purposes. The Engineers said that this is something not documented but possible and we were oriented to open an incident to ask for guidance on how to do it.

What is a J204 error?
Although the resource CD states that a J204 error is free space deficiency in SD card, File copy failed. Please refer to sdkj_userguide_e208.pdf page 28. A J204 can mean that during start up the application goes into its first life cycle and cannot process it in the allocated amount of time that the platform allows.
