Receiving print job events
Incident Properties
Question
Hi Support
I am not receiving any print job events. Copy, Scan and Fax all report an event but when a print job passes through the printer when a user is logged on nothing is reported. I am sending jobs directly to the printer and they are printing. We also need to receive events released to the printer from our pull print application which will I guess be much the same as sending a direct print once a user is logged on.
I am unsure what needs to be done to receive these events so any info would be great.
Many thanks
Nick

Event listeners
Incident Properties
Question
Support
I have implemented event listeners as per the documentation.
Copies are fine and reporting events Fax is untested but neither print or scan are firing events and I am unsure why as the listener is exactly the and same just testing the instance type of the event:
instanceof DetectionCopyEvent (Working fine)
instanceof DetectionPrinterEvent (Not fired)
cygwin reports the following when a print job is sent:
[SDK_N_SYS__]sdkPlotWaitStatGetStatus() was called.

Launching the native browser from an xlet
Incident Properties
Question
Support
I need to launch the native browser from an xlet. Could you let me know if this is possible and if so, what I need to do to achieve this.
The xlet will not be an authentication xlet.
I need to provide a more seamless way of launching our pullprint web application and my managers would like this to be called from a completely separate xlet that can have its own custom icon etc.
A speedy response to this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks and best regards

Compatibility-QA Testing of Cloud-based solution
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
Our next solution to be applied to Compatibility-QA Testing can be used in two different ways:
- in a local environment (back-end product will be installed on a server);
- using a Cloud environment (which currently is our default offer and is part of a partnership with Ricoh Brasil to add more value to MFDs).
We would like to ask you if in this case could we provide a Cloud installation so you can test the scenario where it will be mostly used instead sending you a thumbdrive with a VMware image? In positive case you not only will be testing the latency but also the error handling in case of any network failure.
Best regards,
Fabiano
