RXOP (RXSP)
Incident Properties
Question
Hello,
I was wondering about being able to obtain access to change some SP mode settings using RXSP. At the conference, it was stated that I would need some kind of ACL or key or something to be able to make changes to SP mode using RXOP. Here are the SP mode settings I would like to be able to change for our solution:
· Set SP-5-113-001 - Default Optional Counter Type to 0:None
· Set SP-5-113-002 - External Option Counter Type to 1:Expansion Device 1
Thanks,

Remote Update Config files from PC to MFP
Incident Properties
Question
Hello Joe,
About the release method of SmartDOCSCAN, I want to confirm.
For Remote Update Config files from PC to MFP, our PC Admin Tool of SmartDOCSCAN want to auto install "rxconfServlet" of RXOP to MFP.
But we (RLA,RCL,RITS) don't know is it permitted if I include the "rxconfServlet" into the installer of our PC Admin Tool.
#DocScan (old Version of SmartDOCSCAN) "rxconfServlet" is included in PC Admin Tool.
We are worring about it.
So, please tell me after we join to RiDP, "rxconfServlet" could be included to our product or not?
Waiting for your answer.
Best Regards,

Software Install Error

Question
I have trimmed my application down and got rid of some problems with my dalp but I am still not able to install my application using the ROC client and the error has changed to [192.168.3.209] -- install -- ERR_OTHER :: null :: :: ::
I am using Remote Operation Client 1.3.4 and since there are not going to be any other tools or information relased I cannot diagnose this issue withought starting over from scratch and I really don't want to have to do that.
Thanks,
Casey
Request ACL file for quota control setup

Question
Hello,
We want to use the RXOP for setting up the SP-5-113 for quota control. We need write permission for both sub keys: 1 - Default Optional Counter Type (to setting it to none) and 2 - External Optional Counter Type (to setting it to Expansion Device 1).
Best regards,
Fabiano

Question
I am working on an automated installer and one of the things that I need to do is to change a couple of SP settings:

When using RXOP, I get a Failed to lock device error. What is happening?
From RXOP 3.3+ the device looking feature was introduced and an operation may fail if RXOP is not able to lock the device to perform the remote operation.
One reason for failure can be due to SSL being turned on on the device. The locking feature was implemented because of the need for locking a device when updating an application during times when customers are accessing the devices.
So if this doesn't really pertain to your customers environment you can disable this feature with a call to: --lock-off In the code.
e.g.:
What is the device lock used for in rxop

Question
We have been working on passing usernamd, password, and device password to the MFP. Seems like when we pass the passwords the MFP responds with "Can't lock device". A way around this is to also pass the --lock-off option in the call to rxopClient.jar.
Can you explain why this is and what the lock is used for?
Thanks,
Nick.
