ApkInstaller internal error
Incident Properties
Question
I am having an issue with RXOP installing to a Savin MP 4054. Device logs are attached. When attempting to install our MOST application, RXOP returns the following error:
ERR_SOP_INSTALL_UNINSTALL_FAILED :: ApkInstaller internal error. :: :: ::
I also tried uploading the zip file to the Extended Features section of WIM and receive a J110 error. What causes both of these errors?
Regards,
Mike
Can't install to an IM C3500
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,We're having trouble installing to an IM C3500. Initially our installer failed when installing rxspservletsop-1.1.zip. The error code was ERR_SOP_APK_COMPONENT_ERROR. APK_We then tried to install it through the WiM and got J240 error. We then tried to install rxspservletsop-1.0.zip, from our installer and then from the WiM, and got the same errors.
Attached are log files from rxinst and the machine logs. We attempted installing the rxsp servlet several times between 10 am and 12:30 pm. Note that the MFP is in GMT +1 so 6 hours ahead. that means 16:00 to 18:00 in the log.
I found this in the logs. Seems to indicate a problem with the file signature:

CONFIGURATION ISSUE VIA RXOP BASED TOOL
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
We were testing the ROC Application version 1.6.1, with an the RXOP library (3.8.1) updated with the following guide: https://ricoh-ridp.com/ridp/faqs/how-update-my-roc-tool, and found that we are still unable to configure the newer MFP's models (IM Series) (SP Mode settings and remote installation), we can initialize the printer in the tool but when we try to set the SP Mode settings we get the following error:
SP: ACCESS_CONTROL__DEFAULT_DOCUMENT_ACL -> java.io.IOException: Exception: java.io.FileNotFoundExcpetion
When trying to install our application we get the error:
- install - null
i am attaching the logs respectively.
Do you have any newer ROC tool that is compatible, or advice in how to use ROC App with the new IM Series MFP?
We are using the IMC2000 in our lab.
We was discussing this problem in the incident 3473, but that was closed, so we are opening a new one here.
Best regards.
Guilherme Santos.

RXOP - Print Volume Limitation settings
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
We have received lots of customer requests to configure all zero-stop related settings from our Remote Operation Client.
In a conference call with Ricoh NZ today, they specifically asked us, as this will significantly help with their sales.
These settings are listed as below:
- User Tools > System Settings > Administrator Tools > Print Volume Use Limitation > Unit Count Setting
- User Tools > System Settings > Administrator Tools > Print Volume Use Limitation > Default Limit
- User Tools > System Settings > Administrator Tools > User Authentication Management
Andy Rosen from Ricoh USA has also pushed us on implementing this feature:
“From a roll out perspective we believe getting these settings working via the ROC Tool will cut our install time in half per MFD.
That is significant.”
We would really appreciate if these settings can be added. Thank you.
Best regards,
Austin
Is an updated rxspServlet ever needed?
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
We've been working under the assumption that when a new rxop library is released we must update rxsp servlet to go along with it. is this actually the case or can we just use one version of rxsp servlet and be done?
Thanks,
Nick.
Setting Administrator Tools with RXOP
Incident Properties
Question
I am working on a program to perform the necessary SP and configuration settings for our recently certified Authentication Provider. The API seems pretty straightforward, but I am having trouble identifying how to configurations items under the Administrator tools section of the WMI. Specifically the following items.
Administrator Tools -> User Authentication Management -> Custom Auth
Administrator Tools -> Machine Action When Limit Reached
I am using RXOP-3.8.1. Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Keith Reinig
isFullNativeDevice() returns true for MP 305+ MFP

Question
ricohDevice.Update fails with RxOP 3.8.0.1
Incident Properties
Question
Our installer calls ricohJavaDevice.update() method when it detects rxspServlet on the MFP is different than what is included in the solution. For example, the MFP has 3.7.3 and the solution has 3.8.0.1. The installer will call ricohJavaDevice.update() with the intent (not an Android intent) of updating the servlet prior to setting SP mode settings.
Prior to updating our installer to use rxop 3.0.8.1 libraries the ricohJavaDevice.update() method worked as expected. For example, updating from RxOP 3.7.1 to 3.7.3 would update with no exceptions. Since updating to the rxop 3.8.0.1 libraries, calling ricohJavaDevice.update() results in an exception being thrown in the ricoh libraries. For example, updating from 3.7.3 to 3.8.0.1 we see an HTTP 417 error in the log file.
Thanks,
Nick.
New MFP support in RxOP 3.8.1
Incident Properties
Question
I noticed today several updates on the site. RxOP release notes show "new engine support" but no mention of which MFPs. Can you share the list of new MFPs supported in this release?
