How to create ACL file
How to create ACL file for RXOP usage
The ACL file is used by RXOP; RXSP’s component to be more specific; to change System Program modes programmatically. These modes are commonly referred as SP modes, the SP modes are used to set specific device configurations needed by applications. Example: setting SP modes for custom authentication.
The Access Control List (ACL) relied on device hex codes to identify a specific device to set the different SP modes.
Example:
IM 350 àHex code is 990003 (using the last 6 hex digits as listed on device info PDF file)
Device hang when accessing scan settings on Ricoh IM 300

Question
- We install SmartScanEx_106.zip on IM C300 by WIM.
- It seems that the standard Ricoh Scan GUI (M2a_SmartScanEx version 2.01) is overwritten (attached image) so we still scan and we can not duplicate error.
RXOP 3.8.3 Failure to 2550

Question
Hello,
Our deployment utility deploys our Pull Print applications using RXOP. If I use RXOP 3.7.3, our applications deploy just fine. If I change nothing else, but upgrade RXOP to 3.8.3, I get the following error: SDK/J not found on device.
I am attaching the deployment log and the rxinst log along with the SMC report. Let me know if you need anything else to help diagnose why a newer RXOP is causing this.

Cannot deploy package to Ricoh C406z using RXOP

Question
Hi,
Our application is using RXOP 3.8.1 to deploy our Ricoh Android client to Ricoh C406z. Product ID of our client is 1711276041.
However, the client cannot be deployed to the device. We atatched the tracelog of the device to the link here:

Could you please help to take a look and let us know the cause of the issue?
Thanks,
Ricoh C2004 failed to get installed SmartScanEx_106.zip
Incident Properties
Question
According to the specs that we’ve been working with for quite some time, an MFP device such as the C2004 would use an archive such as SmartScanEx_106.zip as its Scan GUI Service package. However, in our lab it failed to get installed, despite the file being successfully received by the device. On the other hand, a test install using SimpleScanEx_103_00.zip, which previously was only intended for the C306/C406, succeeded. Is this fluke an error with the device firmware, or the device classification criteria would need to be updated regarding the C2004?
Latest firmware for C306/C406 devices and how to get it
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
I have customer with problems installing PCC5.1 on a C406z device using DRS v8.1. It works with DRS v8.0 and 8.1 works in our lab with other models.
I noted that their 406z M2a_System firware is at v1.23 which is below what is required for PCC5. I asked them to upgrade to the latest in order to investigate the issue.
Our DRS development team said the RXOP library upgrade between DRS 8.0 and 8.1 is quite considerable (from 3.7.3 to 3.8.1). So, I am pretty sure the firware update will fix the problem.
I would, however, like to try the latest firmware on a 306/406 in our lab.
1. What are the latest versions of firmware packages for these device families?
2. As development, how can we get them?
Thanks for your help.
RxSP fails to update values on Lanier MFP
Incident Properties
Question
The customer has Lanier MFPs that were "converted" back to Ricoh MFPs with a FW update. Then they tried to secure the MFP with our software. The installation of RXSP succeeded but pushing the ACL file caused an exception in the RxOP libraries as noted below. Could the ACL file need an update in order to work on this MFP. The Model is C4503.
Thanks,
Nick.

IM C300 support with rxop
Incident Properties
Question
Our on-site team is attempting to secure a Ricoh IM C300 and the installation is failing. Which version of RxOP supports this MFP?
As a side question, at Dev Con, we were told that work was being done to remove the requirement of a new RxOP when new engines are released. Did this happen?
Thanks,
Nick.
RXOP - Updated ACL for SP/MODE Settings
Incident Properties
Question
Hi,
Could we request a new ACL file which includes all of the latest device models? I have attached our previous ACL request, that tou can add the models to.
We have found our previous ACL we have does not work with the latest device models. It would be great if there was a way to have the ACL cover all future device models too?
Kind regards,
Jan Bolmann
