The FileAllocator xlet attached to this incident fills up the hard drive with temporary files so you can test your application in an environment where there is not enough disk space remaining for an operation.
To use FileAllocator, simply install and run as any other xlet. When your are ready to fill up the hard drive, start FileAllocator and press the "Fill" button. The MFP panel will indicate that the copier is working on writing temp files with a dialog box; when finished, the dialog box will disappear. Press the "List" button to send a report on the names and location of the temp files. Press the "Empty" button to remove all the temp files and "Quit" to close FileAllocator.
Your application should be prepared to catch and respond to any IOException thrown when doing any operation that involves writing to the disk.
