Hello,

In the Xlet Type Developer's Guide for Scan document, in section 1.7 (also outlined in the status transition diagram) it discusses the case when docScanJob.scan(...) return false (unavailable). According to the diagram the scanner goes into a STOPPED state with an appropriate state reason and the scan job must be cancelled. Could you confirm if the registered ScanJobListener is notified of this event as the scanJobRequiresAttention or will just the ScanServiceAttributeListener be notified of the event?

Writing an image to the device HDD

Hi Support

I am having a little difficulty resolving an issue with image writing and reading on the mfp HDD.

 

I am streaming a bitmap from our web service to the HDD and I have also tried to save the image from a URL but both fail to read back to the mfp as an IconImage.  My code snippets below:

Hi Support

I have a requirement to provide single sign-on, providing all xlets with authenticated user information.

One of these requirements is to provide the scan application(s) with the users email address and home folder, for the purpose of scan to email and scan to user folder.

These details are available within the authentication xlet and I need to understand how can be provided to the scan application and/or other applications that may need the details.

Please can you send me information/examples on how this can be achieved.  

I am going to be using the AAA Xlet for the purpose of providing authenticated user information to our print release xlet (pullprint).  Is this also what I should be looking at to achieve the single sign on details (email, user folder etc) above?

Could not print on MFP through Laserfiche Scan

Hi there,

 

One user is using MFP with Java version 12.x, and it failed to print successfully from our application Laserfiche Scan 1.1.

In our application, we will convert doc to pdf first, and then print pdf from the MFP directly using print service. When user tries to print any document from Laserfiche Scan, it will be failed. It will finally process printJobFailed event. Attached is the log found from the machine. It said 'PDL leak detected', and then "FUNCTION USE STATE ERROR RETURN!! ret = -99"

Do you know why the printJob could not run successfully from the log?

Hello,

We had modified our code to add the hexcode 690007 translation for device MP C5503 provided by US Bank.

Since this issue need to be resolved for US bank, we would like to have our OmtoolXlet.jar production signed.

I have modified the version of our OmtoolXLet.dalp to be 3.03 as this is a minor fix.

I have attached the OmtoolXlet.zip file for the production signature.

Error pressing Accuroute button after intalling on "MP C6502 SP"

They installed OmtoolXlet using web image monitor and when they selected AccuRoute button, it threw java.lang.exception trying to create authenitcation handler..  I have attached the snapshot of hte excetpio seen on the control panel. Any idea as to why?

Yes. It is the same issue and model number.

Document is cropped when it is fed as LEF (Long Edge First) but the scan setting feeder direction is set to SEF

Hello,

When we scan a page with the Long EDGE first but the feeder direction is set as SEF in the scan settings, it crops the page as it comes as 11 X 8.5. Is that how the scanner should behave?

I have attached both the original (LEF scan setting & fed as LEF) and cropped document (SEF Scan setting & fed as LEF).

Hello,

I am not sure why the # 1267 was closed..  I am still trying to find out if it is the device or network issue. 

Would really appreciate if the incident is not closed until we are satisfied or agree with the answers. Thanks!

If it took 5 minutes before the device talked to the backend server, then am guessing it is a device issue but it if it took 5 minutes for the call to reach the server, then it is a network issue.

We placed a wireshark trace in the server and we know that the first call from the device was 5 minutes after we pressed the button.

What logs would you need to track this issue?
