This process describes how to clear the default information shown on Proximity Card Reader Settings.
A card reader entry is shown on Proximity Card Reader Settings (Vendor_ID, Product_ID)
The information shown, Vendor ID and Product ID, are populated when a supported reader has been registered on the SmartSDK panel (SOP).
There are two ways to clear card reader values on SmartSDK panel (SOP):
RECOMMENDED WAY
From the Screen Features / Screen Device Settings/IC card Bluetooth software settings//Proximity card reader settings/Software to use - Select do not use. Unplug the reader.
Repeat same steps from Screen features , Plugin the new reader then you get the message "the following card reader was registered". This confirms, the new card reader was registered correctly.
Not recommended - Alternate way - Not recommended
SOP application will be removed (settings)
This is basically enabling a panel reboot. Avoid as much as possible
Click on:
User tools - Screen features - Screen device settings - Initialize screen feature settings - Click OK at the confirmation window
